Nasz automat włącza światła po uruchomieniu silnika (gdy napięcie w instalacji przekroczy – 13,5 V) i wyłącza dopiero po wyłączeniu stacyjki. Pozwala to na rozruch silnika bez obciążenia akumulatora światłami.
